WELCOME TO FLIGHTSIM REPAINT...

I've been repainting aircraft for Microsoft Flight Simulator for over one and a half years, and have picked up many useful skills along the way. If you want professional-quality paint jobs, you've come to the right place.

Now offering VA fleet repaints...

I've decided to offer a repainting service for VA's looking for a new fleet. More information can be found under the Fleet Repaints link in the navigation bar. Please note that I do charge a fee, although it is far cheaper than most other repainting services out there. The first paint job, however, is free.

Anniversary Coming Up...

I just went back through some of the old posts and saw that the first year anniversary is coming up in 11 days. Mark your calendars for July 30th, I'll have a special paint ready.
Peace out.

Back in business...

Well. After a few months off the airwaves I'm back again. This time, I have a new paint ready right off the bat. This one is actually one that I've spent almost a month creating. Yes, that's right. I shit you not. Finally, a decent American Airlines paint for the default 737-800. It can be found here and here, and also in the downloads section under FSX-->Boeing 737-800. In other news, from now on I'll be uploading new paint jobs on different sites. Of course I'll still upload to SimViation, however I will also now be uploading to Avsim as well as Skyline Digital Media's website in the downloads section.
Also, I've decided (after a few months of debate) to start making FS videos. You can find the channel here. I have yet to add any videos, but the first one should go up later today. Unfortunately, the image quality is not too good, because I had to record it with a camcorder. But I'll be getting a VGA converter that I can connect to my capture card within the next week or two, so this problem won't last long. I'll do my best to make a new video every few days or so. So stay tuned.

737 Collection up and ready for download...

Here it is...the moment we've all been waiting for. The FSR 737 Collection is available. Link.

Two things...

Well, I FINALLY got around to uploading the 737 pack. I'll have a link to it in another post. But, that's not the big thing I wanted to cover...Here's the deal. I was just browsing through the SimV repaint archive, and I found out that someone has re-posted my work without my permission, and has even claimed it as their own. If you find anything that you believe may be an illegal re-post of my work, please, PLEASE let me know so I can deal with it quickly.

Yep...I'm back...

Back again after two months off the air. Today I've got three things to announce...
1.) The 737 pack will finally be going up Monday, probably be ready for download on Tuesday or Wednesday. And this time I'm not even joking.
2.) I'm starting to paint an all new fleet of aircraft, and this time, the fleet will be a completely original paint. Normally I'd have a preview, but for some reason the screen capture isn't working on my computer at the moment...Aside from that, I'll be painting the following planes in the official Western American Airways livery (my fictional airline):

Airbus
A321

Boeing
Boeing 737-800
Boeing 777-300

Bombardier
CRJ-700
ERJ-145

McDonnell-Douglas (JustFlight/CLS)
DC-10-10
DC-10-30

On a quick side note, all of these aircraft will be packaged for FSX, I will include virtual cockpits in the ones that I can/the ones that don't have one already. For people still using FS2004, sorry. It takes me about four times as long to do a dual release, which is why I haven't done any. Also, because all of these aircraft will be packaged together (all aircraft will be complete package), I'm expecting the file size to be somewhere between 300-400 MB, if not more. Because of this, the package will be uploaded to SimViation and megaupload/another hosting site for those of you who don't have the SimV membership and want faster speeds.

Just one last thing...(pull up a chair, this'll be a little long):
For those of you wondering where I've been the last few months, here's your answer: I've been busy dealing with the shit that life has thrown at me. I won't go into much detail on that, but what I will say is that I have a lot of problems, not just with my life, but personally too. Chronic depression being one of them. I'm trying to deal with these issues, but things are complicated, which is why I have to bring this up...I'm not sure I can do this anymore. What I mean to say is, for the moment, I'm closing FlightSim Repaint...Sorry, but all things must have an end, even if it's only temporary, which, for the moment, I still don't know if it will be. Our doors will officially close as of May 1st, 2010. If any of you have ever tried repainting planes regularly, you undoubtedly know that it takes a long time, sometimes days, just to finish ONE paint job. It was getting to the point where painting was all I ever did. Anyway, here's to a good last month of FSR. See you next week...

New look...

What do you think of the new look for the website? I decided to change it after noticing that the main page looked crappy on widescreen monitors, which almost everyone has now (right?). My birthday is in 2 more days, so, yeah, I'm still not doing anything. Don't even ask what I'm doing. Let me now what y'all think.

Greetings from the planet Earth...

Okay, no, really...uh, it's the last day of January, of course we all know, and I still haven't come out with anything this month. Let me explain...Last month, I of course took some time off for the holidays, and didn't do anything, really. Then at the beginning of this month, my laptop crashed, and I lost some of the work that I HAD done. SimViation of course was a total pain, and Avsim wasn't much better. 737 pack never made it to market, and the A321 is still a horrible plane. (Okay, now the explaining.) I haven't been posting anything lately because I've been busy working on some paint jobs for Galaxy Virtual Airlines. You by any chance see the one with the custom logo and black streaks? That's mine. Yep, I did that paint, and I'm still working on more at the moment. But, all that aside, I've also been going through a lot this month, it's pretty much nothing but one huge problem (NO WAY! I have problems? Never would have guessed THAT!). First month back in high school from Christmas? All the teachers say "HEY! Free homework for a millennium! That's right! All homework is on sale, everything must go home!" Okay, back to seriousness. With my birthday approaching next week, you can bet I'm going to blow off pretty much everything that I need to get done. That includes stuff for FSR. But, don't worry, I'll be back to my normal routine (the one where I actually do stuff, that is) shortly. Just be patient, I'm a procrastinator anyway, so there's not much else you can do. So, to sum it up, I'm lazy when it comes to anything involving work. Oh well, see you all in six months!

(Nah, just kidding, two weeks, tops.)

Screwed by technology...yet again...

I've been gone a while yet again, but technology decided it would be fun to play a little joke on me, and so it made my laptop crash, which, sorry to say, is the computer I use to do repaints...and so, I lost about everything. But, FEAR NOT! I managed to save a few things from their untimely corruption. One of those things was the 737 pack (which I'll get to in a moment), the other being an older repaint for the 747, which has already been released.

Now to the 737 pack...

For some reason the folks at AVSIM decided to refuse my upload for the lack of information that was ironically not needed...don't really know why yet. I may try to re-upload the 737 pack to that site again later, or I may just skip it all together and find yet another site (or I may stay with Simviation for now). Anyway, sorry for the delays, hoping to get back on track in the coming weeks...

'Till then,
¡Hasta luego!

Edit: For a topic unrelated to this blog, who else heard about Conan O'Brien getting bumped to midnight? Sucks huh?

Moving files to different website..

Like the title says, I'll be moving all of my downloads over to avsim or another flight simulation website. I recently discovered that Simviation doesn't seem to like Windows 7, or it just plain sucks because downloads don't work. So, yeah, that's strike 3 for SimV. You'll have to excuse me if I don't get anything done during this time since I'll be transferring all the files over to a different site.
Oh, almost forgot, I finished with the 737 service pack and corrected some previous repaints. I think I'll be uploading the pack to avsim as a test for that site...so, anyway, I'll post when it's available.
